Problem Statement
Navigating large campuses, especially at night, can be challenging for students and visitors. The lack of clear guidance and illumination often leads to confusion and disorientation, making it difficult to find specific locations.
Role
Industrial and User Experience Designer (Solo)
Hörn is an outdoor lighting and wayfinding system inspired by the Brutalist architecture of METU campus buildings. It illuminates the campus while ensuring nobody loses their way. The system includes engraved zone maps, illuminated zone numbers, QR codes linking to METU’s online map, and touchscreen METU maps to provide clear guidance and enhance navigation.
